Brief Itinerary:
8:30: Pick up at your hotel in Old Quarter area and transfer to the first destination.
8:45: Visit Ho Chi Minh Complex inclusive of his Mausoleum, the house-on-stilts, the quaint One-Pillar pagoda nearby.
10:45: Move to Quan Thanh Taoist Temple.
11:30: Get on the car and transfer to local restaurant for the lunch.
12:00: Lunch (own expenses).
14:00: Visit the Museum of History.
15:00: Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake. Listen quick introduction from tour guide about the lake, Ngoc Son Temple and ‘The Huc’ Bridge. Please note that you will not go inside Ngoc Son temple.
Get a trip by ‘green cars’ in the Old Quarter.
17:20: Enjoy the show of Water Puppetry.
18:30: Come back to your hotel. Tour ends.
Itinerary:
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Starting the morning with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, one of the most important buildings in Hanoi is the mausoleum where the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh is displayed. Ho Chi Minh Complex inclusive of his Mausoleum, the house-on-stilts, the quaint One-Pillar pagoda nearby, which is also appears in a Hanoi One Day Tour.
Next, you will visit Quan Thanh Temple – formerly known as Tran Vu Temple, is a Taoist temple in Hanoi, Vietnam. Famous as one of 4 Sacred Temples of ancient Thang Long citadel (White Horse Temple in the East, Temple of Kneeling Elephant in the West, and Kim Lien Temple in the South) and dated to the 11th century, the temple was one of the principal deities in Taoism and also one of the leading tourist attractions in Hanoi nowadays.
Get on the car and transfer to local restaurant then having lunch and relax to recharge your energy.
In the afternoon, you will head to visit the Museum of History which have wonderful architecture and Vietnam’s history with very large displays covering every period. You may have to make full use of imagination as well as sensitivity to understand artifacts and relics exhibited in the museum. This is a good chance for you to test your ability to perceive art because the descriptions of the objects are quite sparse that most of them are in Vietnamese.
Afterward, you will discover Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple. Spend time to stroll at the lake and enjoy peaceful atmosphere.
End the day with The Show of Water Puppetry, a stage art invented by the Vietnamese peasants hundred years ago, with nearly 20 stories of Vietnam traditions and daily scenes will be the last activity.
In the evening we will take you back to your hotel.
