Da Nang held a tourism promotion program, and launched the ‘Enjoy Da Nang Again’ campaign, in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK), on Monday, in a bid to appeal for more Korean tourists to return to the central coastal city.

The event attracted more than 70 participants who were representatives of airlines; travel agencies; MICE, golf and wedding organizers, and Key Opinion Leaders, or KOLs.
It was within the framework of the business trip to RoK made by the city’s high-level delegation led by Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang.
During the program, lots of new and unique tourism products, especially for the South Korean market, were introduced. Meanwhile, cooperation opportunities with Korean partners were opened up for tourism businesses in Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien Hue.
In his remarks at the program, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong, in the first half of 2024, the total number of Korean visitors staying in Da Nang was 822,765, accounting for over 41% of the total international visitor structure to the city. This figure reached the milestone of the total number of Korean visitors in Da Nang in 2023 (935,000) and made up nearly 50% of the total number in 2019, the peak period of Da Nang tourism.
The abovementioned figures showed the love of Korean tourists for Da Nang as well as the appeal of the city from constant upgrades in products and service quality.
Since early 2024, Da Nang has launched many new tourism products, including the Bach Dang Walking Street and tourism services at the Nguyen Van Troi pedestrian bridge, the Da Nang Beach Flower Street, and the Danang Downtown entertainment complex with high-class jet ski and flyboard shows and art shows combined with nightly fireworks.
Notably, the city has hosted a series of unique events and festivals on an international scale, such as the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024, the 2nd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, the Da Nang Enjoy Festival, the Viet Nam-South Korea Festival, and the Asian Development Golf Tournament 2024.
Additionally, the city has focused on target market segments including MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), golf tourism, wedding tourism, and culinary tourism.
Moreover, the city plans to issue a pilot program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang in 2024-2025. Accordingly, foreign couples who decide to hold their weddings in the city will receive some incentives: a welcome ceremony at Da Nang International Airport or hotel, souvenir gifts, entrance tickets to tourist attractions, and other attractive services.
One of the highlights of the Da Nang tourism connection and introduction program in RoK was the announcement of the “Enjoy Da Nang Again” campaign to be held from July 15 to late 2024.
By offering many souvenirs and incentive packages for Korean tourists, the campaign is determined to maintain itself as not only a unique destination but also as a “second home” with many inspirational and meaningful travel stories.
