Tam Giang Lagoon is located at the merge of three big rivers including O Lau, Huong and Bo Rivers. It belongs to Tam Giang Cau Hai, which is the largest freshwater lagoon system in Hue. The region directly or indirectly provides the sufficient living conditions to about 300,000 inhabitants of 326 villages in 31 communes around. Recognized as the richest source of flora and fauna in South East Asia, Tam Giang Lagoon in ancient Hue is an amazing place that is rarely discovered by tourists. It is also beautiful at sunset when golden water is sparkling in along with a maze shrimp farming fields of all shapes and sizes that all fascinate travelers.
Itinerary
14h00: Our car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel or central Hue and start your tour.
14h30: Located about 8km from the center of Hue city in the direction of Thuan An beach. The delegation stopped to visit Uncle Ho memorial site at Duong No village, Phu Duong commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province. This is a place to keep many memories of Uncle Ho, the period when he and his family came here to live and study. In which, the cottages, communal houses of Duong No, Ben Da, Am Ba… are imprinted with memories of Uncle Ho.
15h00: The car continues to depart for Thuan An about 4km, turn towards Tam Giang bridge with Ru Cha mangrove forest. This is a primeval forest with an area of about 4 hectares, existing more than 100 years ago. The group is free to visit, walk and take pictures with the wild beauty of the forest.
16h00: Arrive at Dam Chuon lagoon, a part of Tam Giang lagoon, visitors start to visit the largest ecosystem in Southeast Asia. Here you have a great experience with some fishing activities with the locals. Boating, fishing… Composing photos and resting freely on the stilt house.
17h00: Enjoy dinner with seafood menu at Dam Chuon Lagoon restaurant, a unique oasis in the middle of the lagoon.
18h00: The boat takes you to watch the sunset, return to the marina and drop off at the city center.
